#1 Roofing Company in Florence, South Carolina
Florence Roofing Pros fixes and replaces roofs across Florence and the rest of the Pee Dee: leaks around a chimney, shingles peeled back by a summer storm, a pine limb through the decking, and roofs that have simply run out of years. We get up on the roof, look at what is actually wrong, and tell you plainly what it needs and what it does not.

Most calls start small. A brown ring on a bedroom ceiling, a drip in the hall closet after a hard rain, a handful of shingle tabs in the yard after an afternoon storm. Caught early, most of that is a repair. Left through one more wet summer, it turns into soft decking, wet insulation and a much bigger job. So the first visit is about finding the cause, not about selling you a roof.
What we fix and build
Repairs are the bulk of the work: lifted and missing shingles, cracked pipe boots, rusted or loose flashing at chimneys and walls, and the slow leaks that show up as a stain long after the water got in. If water is already coming in, start with how we track down a leak before anything else.
Full replacements come next, usually architectural shingles over new underlayment, with any rotten decking cut out and replaced and the attic ventilation set right. We also handle storm and hurricane damage, including the photos and notes your insurance adjuster will ask for, metal roofs for houses, barns and shops, and flat or low-slope roofs on commercial buildings, churches and offices around town.

Why Pee Dee roofs fail
The weather here is hard on a roof in a quiet, steady way. Rain comes often and hard here, and the humid summers keep things damp, so a small gap at a vent or a nail that backed out can feed water into the decking for months before anyone sees a stain inside.
Then there are the loud days. Hurricane Matthew in 2016 and Hurricane Florence in 2018 both pushed inland with wind, falling trees and days of heavy rain, and plenty of roofs in Florence County were patched in a hurry afterward. Summer afternoon thunderstorms bring straight-line winds and the odd round of hail, and spring storm season can bring tornado warnings. Each of those leaves its mark: creased shingles, torn ridge caps, flashing pulled loose. Most of it is easy to miss from the ground.
Where we work
Our base is Florence, and most jobs are within a short drive of downtown. We work across Florence County and the nearby Pee Dee towns, from Darlington and Hartsville to Lake City and Marion. Smaller places like Quinby, Effingham, Coward, Scranton, Pamplico, Timmonsville and Lamar are on the list too, and a lot of our metal and barn work ends up out in the county where the lots are bigger.
If you are not sure whether your address is in range, put it in the form and ask. We would rather tell you straight than have you wait on a visit that is not coming.
How a job runs
First, someone climbs up and looks. We check the field shingles, ridge, valleys, flashing, pipe boots and vents, and go into the attic when we can get to it, because the underside of the decking tells the truth about old leaks. You see those photos and a written price before anyone starts work.
Next comes the work itself. Repairs are often done in a single visit. A replacement is scheduled around the weather, the old roof is torn off down to the decking, damaged wood is replaced, and the new roof goes on with the yard cleaned up and the nails picked up with a magnet before we leave. You get photos of the finished job, not just an invoice.
Tell us what your roof is doing
The quote form asks for your name, a phone number, the address if you want to give it, and a message. In the message box, describe what you are seeing: where the stain is, when it leaks, what blew off, how old you think the roof is. That is enough for us to call back ready to talk about it. Send the form and we call you back. Mention whether water is coming in right now, so the urgent ones get looked at first. The quote costs you nothing and there is no pressure to book.
